Dr. Fellman attended Tulane university for his undergraduate studies and graduated cum laude with honors and distinction in Biology. He earned his Doctor of medicine from Tulane University Medical School graduating AOA and served his internship and residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/ Parkland Hospital / Dallas, Texas. After completing his fellowship in glaucoma at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Dr. Fellman joined Glaucoma Associates of Texas where he has been in private practice since 1983. 

Dr. Fellman is a diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Glaucoma Society. He is past president of the Dallas Academy of ophthalmology and is active in various other professional societies and organizations. In addition, he serves as Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He has delivered named lectures, served as visiting professor, and written multiple articles and book chapters on glaucoma. Areas of research interests include visual field psychophysics, laser surgery, pharmacology, and chamber angle surgery for glaucoma. Through his professional societies, Dr. Fellman is working hard on glaucoma detection, education, and awareness.

On a personal note, Dr. Fellman enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. In between all of the above, he enjoys composing music, playing in a band, fly-fishing, photography and hiking.
