Dr. Jacqueline Malish, O.D. joined Glaucoma Associates of Texas in 2024 as a dedicated optometric glaucoma specialist with a passion for enhancing patients’ vision and quality of life. As a native of Coppell, TX she is excited to return home to the DFW area and provide compassionate care at GAT!
Dr. Malish earned dual undergraduate degrees in Music and Biology from Southern Methodist University. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and SMU’s prestigious Hyer Society for academic excellence. Through her own vision journey and the guidance of several mentors, Dr. Malish knew a career in eyecare would be the perfect intersection of her creativity, love of science, and service-minded heart. Dr. Malish graduated summa cum laude with her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. During her rotations, she had the privilege to serve military personnel at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Malish completed residency in Ocular Disease at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, with emphasis in glaucoma and low vision rehabilitation. Now practicing at Glaucoma Associates of Texas, Dr. Malish combines personalized treatment with industry-leading technology and fosters a collaborative clinical environment.Through her unique background in low vision rehabilitation, Dr. Malish provides empathetic care to patients with mild to profound vision loss to help them navigate their visual challenges. She works closely with each of the exceptional doctors at GAT and is often involved in post-operative recovery following surgical or laser procedures.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find Dr. Malish traveling, eating tacos, attending the opera, cheering on SMU athletics, crushing a spin class, or reading a newly released novel.
